Back to Regular Programming

...and so [i'm] back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face...

i just felt the urge to sing this song and dance to its rhythm... in my head, that is. (so, doncha wori all who know me. no typhoon was formed with my singing and dancing.)

i had written a long prose (what kind of fallacy is this?) about how i gave birth, my active labor, my emotions upon meeting my baby, how the baby was when i first saw him, how i cried because i wasnt "allowed" to see him again for 24 hours, how i wept and prayed hard when i learned that there was a hole in his heart, how panicky we were when i was rushed to the hospital again after 10 days due to severe bleeding (yep, i am a bleeder. now, i could understand and relate when actors say 'we have a bleeder here' in grey's anatomy and house), how emotionally and physically painful it was to breastfeed, how non-existent my nights have become, how all the stress dissipate when i see jadon smile, how everything becomes okay when we all cuddle.

anyway, that award-winning prose that i wrote? well, it disappeared into thin air when i closed the document without saving it. darn computer!

i was able to get the following from yourbabytoday. btw, baby jadon is more than two months old:

Milestones this month* (TWO MONTHS)

Your baby can follow an object as it's passed over her face, looking in an arc about six inches from her face..... CHECK!
She steadily holds up her head..... CHECK!
Baby rolls over in one direction..... CHECK!
She can raise her chest using her arms for support while lying on her stomach..... CHECK!
Baby smiles when you smile at her..... CHECK! bungisngis pa nga!
She responds to loud sounds by becoming completely silent, crying, or acting startled..... CHECK!
Baby coos..... CHECK! Jadon twice told me 'a-yoh-coo' when i was persistently trying to feed him even though he was full already. and this happened when he was only 6 and 8 weeks old, respectively.
She focuses on very small objects, like raisins..... CHECK!
Baby may laugh out loud. She may even squeal..... CHECK!

Some were asking why we named our son Jadon.

It is a Hebrew word (seems to be the trend of 2006- naming children after Hebrew words) for Judge. It could also mean 'descendant'. whatever it really means, we hardly care. we culled it from the Bible in the Book of Nehemiah chapter 3. He helped build the temple of God. And our Jadon helped us decide to build a new house to place our old home.

What happened to 'linggit'?

We could not continue to call him Linggit because when he came out, he was 8.3 lbs and 21 inches (yessss, he was almost 2 feet) long! the last measure that he had, he was 26 inches long. babies of his length are already 6 months old! and he continues to grow...

Ok. i am a mom now. yep, nanay na ako. so, i cant stop raving about my son.

Now, about getting back in shape... should i follow brit's suit? heck, i have an excuse! i had a c-section. couldn't dive right into the gym now, di ba?

Gotta go, gotta get back to work!

i'm sure that all the pain and suffering you had to endure was all worth it....especially seeing your little angel smile and grin back at his loving parents. ;)

i hope to see you guys again next time. meanwhile, happy parenting to you and ronald!
