Birth Date!

Because it was my special day, Roney and I went to Aubergine to celebrate. It is a classy restaurant located at 32nd and Fifth Building, Bonifacio Global City. Although it was not really needed, we kinda dressed up for the occasion (not the usual jeans and shirt) :)

We ordered their Degustation Menu which is a six-course meal. We also ordered a bottle of Talus Chardonnay because we figured that it would be cheaper and we could bring it home after dinner.

We began with the Chef's Compliment: I can't recall the name of the dish.

Then we had the following in that order. I tried writing down the menu, but my eyesight is really poor.

After the dessert, there was no wine left to take home. I was dizzy and drunk. Good thing I was not the driver :) Thanks Roney for celebrating my birthday with me. Lthysm :)

Damot!

Roney and I woke up in the middle of the night last Tuesday because Jadon was restless. He was sleeping in between us so he would neither fall nor bump his head on either side. That night, Jadon was kicking his legs, throwing his arms, rolling all over the bed. When he finally settled down, I picked him up and put him at his rightful place to continue his sleep. Then he pulled the blanket so he would have it all for himself. Which led to the following repartee:

Roney (thinking it was I who took the blanket) : Ano ba? Nilalamig na ako, ang damot-damot pa!

Me (to Roney): Hindi ako yan.

Me (to Jadon) : Baby, please share the blanket with Tatay.

Jadon : Ummmmm.... (short pause) NO!

So, Roney and I ended up using pillows as shield from cold.

I don't think that Jadon is madamot. I think that he is in a stage where children become territorial and want to assert themselves. It is this time when parents teach the child to share. I just hope i would be able to.

How Important Is A Minute?

Unfortunately, i just found out the answer to that question last night. We were at the lobby a few minutes before 8 o'clock and were wondering why people were running towards the doors of the theater. When the National Anthem was played, we were practically at the entrance of the main theater. But, we were never let in. Not until 19 minutes after the show started. And when the doors had been opened, we were led to some vacant seats and were allowed to take our reserved seats only during intermission.

The set was amazing. The actors were really good. However, i wish that the audio was louder. Anyway, i enjoyed the show and, of course, i've learned my lesson.

Make-up

A friend asked me if she could paint my face for her finals in Center for Aesthetic Studies located at the upper floor of Frank Provost along Jupiter St. Makati last July 5, 2008. How could I say no?

I must say that no one recognized me :-p

10 Things About Me

Appreciate Pat for Tagging me :)

RULES:1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 10 people to get tagged and list their breads.4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Here goes ...

1. I'm a girl, despite any opinion or appearances otherwise.

2. I keep important things in safe places that even I have difficulty in finding them.

3. I'm a sucker for tv series.

4. My fave subjects in high school were algebra and geometry

5. I love music, but my vocal chords have their own tune and tempo. And the only thing that
prevents people from booting me out of videoke is my talent for lipsynching.

6. I love to dance, but my bones do not. And my dignity prevents me from performing outside the circle of relatives and bffs.

7. I love sports. I watch F1, NBA, EUFA Cup, World Cup, even Boxing, Wimbledon, French Open, etc. But, i don't have enough strength and endurance to be in the game.

8. I realized that i can be creative when i became a kids church teacher.

9. When i feel dumb, i secretly draw confidence from the fact that i am an alumna of reputable schools, which might possibly mean that i am just having a bad day. (hey i feel dumb, so what can i do?)

10. But being an alumna of such schools entails great responsibilities to surpass, or at least meet, expectations.

Snag this if you want :)

Let me know if you are done so I can know you a little bit more.
